Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School to Host Team 801 Open House for Inside Look at Robotics Program

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Team 801 will host its annual Sponsor Night, inviting supporters to experience the innovation and dedication behind the school’s award-winning robotics program.

The event will take place on October 14 at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School in Merritt Island from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the robotics lab located off Warner Way on campus.

Edgewood Jr/Sr High School is located at 180 E. Merritt Ave, Merritt Island.

Sponsors and guests will be greeted with refreshments and food as they explore the state-of-the-art facility. Students will guide visitors through the lab and demonstrate various aspects of the program, showcasing fields such as programming, engineering, manufacturing, and teamwork.

The event provides sponsors with an opportunity to interact directly with students who design, build, and operate competition robots. The evening is intended as an open house, allowing attendees to come and go at their convenience between 5:30 and 7 p.m.

Throughout the event, students will present their current projects and explain how sponsor support contributes to the team’s success.

The robotics lab, equipped with computers, machinery, and workstations, will be on full display as students demonstrate how ideas move from concept to creation.

Sponsor Night offers a behind-the-scenes look at the dedication and collaboration that fuel Team 801.

By opening their doors, the team hopes to strengthen relationships with sponsors and highlight the impact of community support on student learning and innovation.
