Search Underway for Gray Hyundai Sedan with damage After Motorcycle Crash in Cocoa
A 55-year-old man from Cocoa and a 54-year-old woman from Merritt Island were transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash that left two people critically injured early Saturday morning in Cocoa.
According to FHP, the crash occurred around 12:17 a.m. on October 25 along State Road 520 at Clearlake Road.
Investigators say an unknown gray sedan collided with a 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle before fleeing the scene.
The motorcycle’s rider, a 55-year-old man from Cocoa, and his passenger, a 54-year-old woman from Merritt Island, were both transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
Troopers believe the suspect vehicle may be a gray Hyundai sedan with significant front-end damage. The car is possibly missing its grille, fog lights, and much of the front bumper.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the vehicle or the driver to contact FHP at *FHP (*347) or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (1-800-423-8477).
FHP reminds drivers that leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, injury, or death is a serious crime. Officials encourage anyone involved in a collision to remain calm, stay at the scene, and call for help.
