Cocoa Police Seek Driver in Hit-and-Run That Left Pedestrian Injured On Indian River Drive

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a vehicle involved in a criminal hit-and-run incident that left a pedestrian injured.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon in the 800 block of Indian River Drive. Just after 4:30 p.m., a gold-colored Honda Accord, believed to be a 2010 to 2013 model, struck a pedestrian before fleeing the scene.
The pedestrian sustained minor injuries.
The vehicle was last seen traveling north on Indian River Drive. Witnesses described the driver as a white or Hispanic male with bushy sideburns and a mustache.
Investigators are urging residents along Riverside Drive to check any home security footage between 4:30 and 5 p.m. for images of the gold Honda Accord.
Police say community cooperation will be crucial in identifying the suspect and bringing closure to the case.
