Detectives Following Lead in Turkey Creek Case, Ask Public for Assistance

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police Department is asking the public to come forward with information after detectives began investigating a report of inappropriate behavior at Turkey Creek Sanctuary on Sunday, Nov. 16.
The department says its Special Victims Unit is actively following up with an identified person of interest connected to the incident.
Police investigators believe additional visitors to the popular nature preserve may have seen the incident or captured information that could help the probe.
Officials urged anyone who witnessed what happened — or who may know someone who did — to contact the Special Victims Unit at 321-952-3463.
Police expressed appreciation for the community’s cooperation as the investigation continues.

Turkey Creek Sanctuary, a well-used boardwalk and trail system in Palm Bay, has been the focus of earlier police attention after multiple reports in recent years of men approaching or photographing women at the site.
In June 2025, Palm Bay police announced charges in an unrelated case in which a man was accused of secretly recording and assaulting women at Turkey Creek; authorities said that the investigation involved multiple alleged victims.
That prior case underscored concerns about visitor safety at the preserve and prompted increased police outreach.
Anyone with video, photos, dash-cam footage, or other information that might assist investigators is asked to call the Palm Bay Police Department’s Special Victims Unit at 321-952-3463.
