Offering Free Screenings and Heart Health Resources

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Florida Department of Health in Brevard County (DOH-Brevard) is inviting residents to take charge of their health at the upcoming Feel Good February Health Fair on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

The free community event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the DOH-Brevard Conference Center, located at 2555 Judge Fran Jamieson Way in Viera.

Designed to promote preventive care and connect residents with valuable local resources, the Feel Good February Health Fair will offer a variety of free health services and educational opportunities.

Attendees can receive blood pressure screenings, bone density screenings, and information from community partners. The event will also feature engaging, family-friendly educational activities aimed at encouraging healthier lifestyles for all ages.

One of the highlights of the fair is the Giant Inflatable Colon Tours, an interactive walk-through exhibit that raises awareness about colon health and disease prevention.

The exhibit provides an up-close look at common colon conditions and emphasizes the importance of early detection and routine screenings.

The event coincides with American Heart Month, observed each February to increase awareness about heart disease and promote prevention and treatment efforts.

Health officials note that heart disease remains the leading cause of death nationally and in Florida.

DOH-Brevard encourages residents to adopt heart-healthy habits such as maintaining healthy cholesterol levels, incorporating regular physical activity into weekly routines, and choosing nutritious foods that support cardiovascular health.

Organizers say the fair aims to empower the community with knowledge, provide access to preventive services, and inspire long-term wellness across Brevard County.
