The radar went off at 126mph

People seem to be somewhat confused by the Super Speeder law as it’s not a competition and even if it was, the prize is the same for all competitors…jail…straight to jail.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – People seem to be somewhat confused by the Super Speeder law as it’s not a competition and even if it was, the prize is the same for all competitors: jail…straight to jail.

Once again Deputy McLaughlin was out conducting traffic enforcement on I-95 when he observed one of the top contenders for Super Speeder of the Year coming down the interstate.
The radar went off at 126mph and when the driver, Joshua Carrion, saw Deputy McLaughlin’s patrol car he tried to hit the brakes…not that it would make much of a difference, as he passed him at 118mph, but hey at least he gave it a shot.
Well as you might imagine, Deputy McLaughlin hit the lights and sirens pulling the vehicle over as he was attempting to exit the interstate.
When he asked Carrion why he was going so fast he said he needed to use the bathroom! Well folks, I’m here to tell you that excuse, much like your pants, won’t hold water as you don’t get to drive like a maniac and put other’s lives in danger just because you were allegedly gonna poop your pants.
Carrion was charged with driving in excess of the speed limit – 100mph or more, and given an exclusive room at Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge with a very nice toilet bowl just in case he still had to go.
You may not care about your life or others, but we do, and that’s why we will continue to be out there enforcing the laws each and every day on I-95 to make sure Brevard County is one of the safest places to call home.
