Brevard County Fire Rescue Crew Brings Comfort to Shelter Dogs at BCSO Animal Care Center

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I always say that “it takes a community to protect a community” and what happened today at our Animal Care Center is a perfect example of just how true that statement really is.
Earlier today two of our great partners at Brevard County Fire Rescue were training at their facility adjacent to our Animal Care Center and decided to come walk some of our dogs on their lunch break!!
The two firefighters, Brendan Gish and Joseph Kollatitsch out of Brevard County Fire Station 82 just wanted to come over and spend some time with our pups, so they could spread a little love and exercise with them.
So here they are, hard at work training to save lives and instead of just chilling out during lunch, they decide to give of their free time to help a homeless pet have some companionship!
Im not sure you could find a better meaning behind being a first responder and how helping our community goes beyond just our human citizens.
Please join me in thanking Brendan Gish and Joseph Kollatitsch, as well as the other members, who have taken the time to come over and spend time with our amazing dogs and for their service to our community as members of our Brevard County Fire Rescue!
And by the way…if you’re looking to add some love in your life, come on over and visit our friends at the Animal Care Center today…the pups and cats of course, not the Fire Rescue crew!
