Brevard Public Schools Students, Teachers to Enjoy Weeklong Spring Break Vacation March 23–29

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Students and teachers across Brevard Public Schools will soon get a well-timed pause in the academic year as the district’s spring break is scheduled for March 23–27.

The one-week recess provides a mid-semester break for the district’s more than 70,000 students and thousands of teachers and staff members.

Classes will resume the following week, giving families time to recharge before the final stretch of the school year, which leads to end-of-year testing, graduations, and summer vacation.

Spring break is a long-standing tradition in schools throughout Florida, and its timing often allows families to travel, spend time outdoors, or participate in community events during the warmer late-March weather along the Space Coast.

During the week off, many families in Brevard County take advantage of the region’s beaches, parks, and local attractions, while others travel outside the area.

Brevard tourism and recreation spots often see an uptick in visitors during the school holiday as families look for ways to enjoy time together before students return to their academic routines.

District officials note that spring break also provides an important opportunity for educators and students to step away from the classroom after months of instruction.

When students return from the break, schools typically begin preparing for state assessments, final exams, and year-end activities.
