BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Quebec Flamingos delivered a dominant performance in Cocoa Beach Spring Training action, defeating Sandlot Baseball 22-3 in Brevard County.
The Flamingos’ offense exploded from the start, piling up runs and controlling the game throughout en route to the decisive victory.
Every spring, college and high school baseball teams from all over the USA head south to the sunny, beautiful Space Coast and its beaches for Cocoa Beach Baseball/Softball Spring Training – one of the nation’s oldest and largest Spring Training programs, providing a significant boost to Brevard County’s economy and the sports culture of the Space Coast.
Space Coast Daily’s Giles Malone spoke with Cocoa Beach Spring Training Director of Scheduling, Coach Loren McClanahan, about what Cocoa Beach Spring Training means to Brevard.

All game and practice scheduling is performed by a former, highly experienced college coach who understands the importance of making each team’s schedule as complete as possible so they can get the practice and game schedule they need to meet their goals.
The team’s previous win-loss record and other factors will be used to match opponents. Our baseball director will give each team’s schedule undivided attention and communicate directly with each team on an ongoing basis to maximize each team’s opportunity.
