BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Roger D. Bean passed away after an extended illness on April 23, at the age of 89, near his home in Palm Bay, Florida.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathy Bean, and 2 daughters, Diana Bean and Debra Russell, from a previous marriage.
He loved animals and shared his home with many rescued cats over the years, and loved his backyard birds.
Before retiring, he worked as an Operations Manager with Consolidated Electric/Rexel for nearly 43 years.
He also had the joy of playing pro baseball in the 1950s with the Miami Marlins and the Dodgers, as well as several others in AA and AAA.
Or as Roger would say, “He had a cup of coffee and a donut,” with them!
He treated everyone with great respect and was loved by so many. He will be missed, but his love and legacy will live on.
