A couple of Eastern Florida State College soccer players helped their teams to unbeaten weekends and are the Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending August 23. Men’s soccer player Rio Narita had a good first week with the Titans, scoring a goal in each game and contributing three assists in the 2-0 weekend. Women’s soccer player Maja Lundin scored a goal and had three assists, helping the Titans to a 2-0 record in South Carolina.
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A couple of Eastern Florida State College soccer players helped their teams to unbeaten weekends and are the Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending August 23.
Men’s soccer player Rio Narita had a good first week with the Titans, scoring a goal in each game and contributing three assists in the 2-0 weekend.
The sophomore transfer had a goal and two assists in the season opener against USC Lancaster and then a goal and an assist against USC Sumter.
Women’s soccer player Maja Lundin scored a goal and had three assists, helping the Titans to a 2-0 record in South Carolina.
The sophomore had assists on two of the four goals against USC Lancaster and then had a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win against Montgomery College.
The women’s soccer team will hit the road this weekend, traveling to Kansas to play No. 4 Seminole State College on Saturday at 7 p.m. and then will play Butler Community College at 11 a.m. on Monday. Butler is receiving votes in the national poll.
The men’s soccer team will host Millenia Atlantic University on Friday evening beginning at 6 p.m. at Orlando Health Stadium.
