BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA — Port Canaveral and contractors Ivey’s Construction and FINFROCK recently held a “topping off” ceremony marking the completion of exterior construction on a new 3,700-space parking garage adjacent to Cruise Terminal 6.
The garage, scheduled to open this fall, is part of the largest and most complex construction project in Port Canaveral’s history.
Fully funded by Port Canaveral, the facility will expand the Port’s total parking capacity to nearly 17,500 spaces across eight parking garages and several surface parking lots.
Port officials said the additional parking will help accommodate continued growth in cruise operations while strengthening Port Canaveral’s position as an economic driver and job creator throughout Central Florida.
Port Canaveral thanked the teams from Ivey’s Construction and FINFROCK for their work on the landmark project as it moves closer to completion.
