Daughters of the American Revolution to Present Award at Florida State Conference

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Retired County Court Judge Alli Majeed will be presented with the distinguished National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Americanism Medal at the Florida State DAR Conference in Champions Gate, Florida.

This prestigious award recognizes naturalized United States citizens who have displayed extraordinary leadership, trustworthiness, charitable service, patriotism, and outstanding ability in community affairs.

“Commodore John Barry Chapter, chartered in Melbourne Beach, Florida, submitted Judge Majeed’s application for the Americanism Medal because we believe he truly embodies the character and service the medal represents,” said Dr. Stephany Eley, Regent Commodore John Barry Chapter.

“Alli Majeed is an example of true patriotism and proclaims to everyone he meets how America offered him the opportunity to aspire and attain the distinguished career he enjoyed. He has given back in service to his community and the home of his birth in grateful acknowledgment of the blessings bestowed upon him as a citizen of the United States of America.”

Alli B. “A.B” Majeed was Brevard’s longest-serving county court judge when he retired from the bench in 2016.

Judge Majeed’s application for this award provided numerous examples of his community service and testimonies of his peers.

In 2021, Judge Majeed received the Brevard Bar Association Community Leader of the Year award, honoring individuals who exemplify the role of lawyers in their community through their efforts for charitable giving and community service.

“He’s quite a patriot, he’s a great guy. And he’s a classic example of the American Dream,” said former Judge Edward Richardson.

“Alli Majeed is known as ‘Mr. Patriotism’ throughout Brevard County because of his professed love for America and his mission to instill the values he holds in everyone he meets. To this end, he accepts every invitation to speak and educate his audience about America’s greatness and the unique, exceptional rights and liberties her citizens enjoy.”

Judge Majeed, who was recognized by the Space Coast Public Service Hall of Fame, believes public service is a privilege and considers it part of his civic duty to talk to his fellow citizens about the judicial system, our rights, and responsibilities as U.S. citizens, and to share his deep and abiding respect for the U.S. Constitution.

Judge Majeed is a past recipient of the Harvey Ford Award from the Conference of County Court Judges.
