BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA — Get ready for an unforgettable night of surf cinema as award-winning filmmaker Josh Pomer of The Westsiders and Discovering Mavericks, is bringing his most personal and powerful film yet, Particle Fever: Barney Barron, to The Drift House in Cocoa Beach for a special one-night-only outdoor screening under the stars, March 27.
This Florida Premiere will take place on Wednesday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m., offering surf fans and documentary lovers a rare chance to experience the film in a laid-back, oceanfront setting.
Particle Fever captures the extraordinary life of Shawn “Barney” Barron, a Santa Cruz surf legend whose fearless style, artistic genius, and larger-than-life personality left an indelible mark on the sport.
The film dives deep into his revolutionary contributions to surfing, his battles with mental illness, and his mesmerizing artwork, all told through never-before-seen footage and raw, emotional storytelling.

Pomer will be attending in person and share behind-the-scenes insights and stories, making this a truly special event for the local surf and film community.
