Brevard Humane Society to Host Annual East Coast Dog Surfing Festival on Cocoa Beach This Easter

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA — Get ready to ride the waves with your furry best friend as the Brevard Humane Society presents the 13th Annual East Coast Dog Surfing Festival on Easter Sunday, April 20, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lori Wilson Park, Cocoa Beach.

Located at 1500 N. Atlantic Ave, Cocoa Beach, this one-of-a-kind event promises a fun-filled day for dogs and their humans, packed with exciting activities, beach vibes, and surfing canines.

Proudly sponsored by Ron Jon Surf Shop, this paw-some festival offers $500 in prizes and a full schedule of tail-wagging action. Whether your pup is a seasoned surfer or just dipping their paws into the sport, there’s something for every doggo.

Featured Events:
● Beach Access for Dogs – $5 per dog (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
● Bunny Paddleout – Starts at 9 a.m. with free bunny ears for the first 50 participants
● Intro to Dog Surfing Lessons – $10 per dog (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) Advance registration required; all dogs must have proof of vaccinations
● East Coast Dog Surfing Championship – $25 per dog (12 – 1 p.m.)
● Doggy Easter Costume Contest – Starts at 10 a.m.
● Doggy Bikini Contest – Starts at 1 p.m.
● Vendors & Live Music – All day long

To kick things off, join the pre-event celebration, “Wags and Waves,” at Cocoa Beach Fish Camp Grill on April 19 from 4 – 7 p.m. It’s the perfect way to get into the beachy spirit before the main event.
