Mel-High’s Jasmine “Jazzy” Francik has added yet another post-season award as she was selected First Team All-American by MaxPreps. The 5-foot-6-inch sophomore right-handed pitcher led the Bulldogs to a 26-2-1 record and the Class 6A state championship last season, posting a 19-1 mark with a 0.16 earned run average in the circle – and striking out 251 batters while allowing just 32 hits and 19 walks in 129.2 innings pitched for a 0.39 WHIP. Brevard County Sheriff’s Agents Investigating Death of Man Found at Residence on South Ridgewood Drive

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation that occurred this morning at a residence on South Ridgewood Drive in unincorporated Cocoa. According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to the area at approximately 11 a.m., after the Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a resident who advised a male stated he had killed someone. Space Coast residents are invited to come out to cast their vote during the Brevard Republican Party Straw Poll and BBQ on Saturday, June 25 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Melbourne Auditorium.
