Man Killed In Thursday’s Shooting In Central Brevard Identified As Ladarius Bentley

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit has identified the man killed in Thursday’s deadly shooting in unincorporated Cocoa as 20-year-old Ladarius Bentley.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit has identified the man killed in Thursday’s deadly shooting in unincorporated Cocoa as 20-year-old Ladarius Bentley.

According to Tod Goodyear of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to the residence just before noon yesterday (Thursday) after a 911 call notified authorities a person had been shot in the residence on 3617 Brophy Blvd.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered Bentley dead.

Police say the investigation is ongoing as members of the Crime Scene and Homicide Units are still collecting evidence and conducting interviews to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
