Deadline Nears For Health First Scholarship Applicants

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – Students interested in pursuing medical-related careers may find some helpful financial assistance this spring.

The Health First Foundation Scholarship Program is currently providing a number of scholarship opportunities for those eyeing careers in healthcare.

Recipients will be chosen on the basis of financial need, character and academic achievement.

Each scholarship presented is in the amount of $1,000  for the school year.

First-year scholarship recipients who continue their studies and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher will automatically qualify for another $1,000 scholarship awarded in their second year of study.

To qualify, applicants must reside in Brevard County, be a graduating senior from a high school in Brevard, seeking a career in a medical or a healthcare-related field and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Scholarship applications and supporting documentation must be postmarked no later than April 6.

For individuals or groups who would like to make a $100 contribution to the Health First Foundation Scholarship Program fund, the Health First Foundation is offering a Scholarship Fund Drawing and reception at 5:30 p.m. May 18.

Only 250 tickets are available for the event and the winner(s) can receive up to $10,000.
