BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Veteran healthcare professional Diane Conaway has joined the Sushoo Health Information Exchange team, according to Dr. Geetha Priyanka, Sushoo medical director.

“This year Sushoo will be offering specialized services for Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities and Diane’s ensemble of experience and skills are a perfect fit for our 2012 initiatives,” said Priyanka.

Sushoo and Melbourne Terrace Rehabilitation Center, a 120-bed facility in Melbourne, Florida, recently completed a successful collaboration as Sushoo prepares to provide their specialized services to other skilled nursing facilities throughout the United States.

“After working with Melbourne Terrace we knew we had a winning formula – and adding Diane’s extensive experience only solidifies Sushoo even more as the leader in the industry,” said Priyanka.

Conaway has spent more than 20 years in various roles in the healthcare industry. She began her career with Forrest City Enterprises of Cleveland, Ohio, and then served as the regional account executive for Communicare Health Services; regional director of community relations for Sunrise Senior Living; and executive director of Emertus Senior Living in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

“Diane’s extensive experience with senior living and senior care facilities makes her an outstanding addition for Sushoo,” said Priyanka.

“With extensive experience in marketing and administration, Diane’s unique skill set will allow her to not only help us market our product, but also contribute in the clinical settings.”

With thousands of medical businesses across the USA adopting Health Information Exchange and Electronic Medical Records technology, 2012 should prove to be a very busy year for Sushoo.

“Electronic Medical Records and Health Information Exchange solutions really should be mandatory in any assisted living or skilled nursing facility,” said Conaway.

“As these residents strive to live quality lives, Sushoo can help staff track residents from the dining hall to their rooms in real time.

“Upon implementation of Sushoo’s services, facilities will see marked improvements in clinical summaries from referring physicians; the ability to send orders to patient physicians; utilization of HIPAA compliant internal messaging; comply with government meaningful use regulations; and most importantly, track and monitor clinical aspects such as potential drug interactions.”
