BREVARD COUNTY •  MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Dr. Arthur Arnold, Jr. decided in high school that he wanted to pursue a career in medicine.

“My father was a true old-time country doctor in Arizona.  As the local physician, my father’s work ranged from delivering babies to performing gallbladder surgeries.” said Arnold.

“I wanted to follow his approach of treating every patient with dignity and kindness while offering first-rate care.” said Arnold.

This patient-centered focus, plus an emphasis on compassionate care, earned Arnold the Patient’s Choice “Compassionate Doctor” Award in 2011.

Arnold Primary Care opened in 2009, and is located at 1395 N. Courtenay Parkway, Suite 207 on Merritt Island.

“We handle all primary care, with a focus on true preventative medicine.  This includes health promotion and an emphasis on disease prevention.” said Arnold.

He is often complimented on the friendliness, warmth and professionalism of his experienced staff.

Angela Nigh, LPN, Dixie Stelling, Front Desk Coordinator, and Kathleen Eberts, Front Desk coordinator, are all part of the Arnold Primary Care team.

New Online Patient Portal

The practice now offers non-invasive AAA Screenings – an ultrasound test that screens for aneurysms.   The screenings are yet another tool Dr. Arnold uses for early detection of illness or disease.

In May, Arnold Primary Care will launch a new patient portal.

“We are launching the portal so that patients to easily access their lab results, refill prescriptions, and make appointments” said Dr. Arnold.

Arnold brings a great deal of experience to his  Merritt Island practice.

For 15 years, he served as the manager of Aerospace Medicine in Life Sciences at Kennedy Space Center.   Primary care is his true calling and his favorite part of working in medicine.

Dr. Arnold is board certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine.

He completed his medical residency at Wright State University.  He has lived in Ohio, Mexico, Arizona, and Hawaii, where his training in diving medicine  was put to good use.

Arnold Primary Care is currently accepting new patients.
