BFT 1st Vice President Dan Bennett and 2nd Vice President Jenn Stokes were on hand to meet teachers and talk to them about their issues and concerns.

Several candidates seeking office in November also attended the picnic including John Paul Alvarez, running for State Representative in District 55, and Joe Pishgar, who is seeking the Brevard County Commission District 3 seat.

Alvarez said he could relate to the crowd at the event because he actually teaches at Bayside High School.
