Christopher Barnet Killed In Motorcycle Accident

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Christopher Daniel Barnet, 43, of Woodbridge, VA was killed last night in a motorcycle accident, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A total of five crashes occurred on I-95 from mile marker 195 to mile marker 197 in Rockledge.  As vehicles began slowing due to poor visibility, one car did not slow and ran into the back of another car. The I-95 southbound lanes are now reopened and traffic is moving normally.
Christopher Daniel Barnet, 43, of Woodbridge, VA was killed last night in a motorcycle accident, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on Malabar Road, west of Glatter Road at 11:55 p.m. last night.

According to Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson Sgt. Kim Montes, Barnet was traveling west on a 2010 Harley Davidson on Malabar Road at a high rate of speed, and entered a right hand curve, which Barnet failed to negotiate. Barnet left the roadway overturned numerous times and was ejected, receiving fatal injuries.

Barnet was not wearing a helmet, and the crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol according to Sgt. Montes.
