BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – In just 100 days, Florida Tech’s football team will exit the tunnel of Pirate Stadium at Palm Bay High School to square off with Stetson University in the Panthers’ inaugural game.

The Panthers with begin their historic journey as the newest NCAA Division II football program as a Gulf South Conference football-only member.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL ARRIVES IN BREVARD COUNTY

In just 100 days, college football arrives in Brevard County and on the Space Coast.

“This just marks another day closer to the start of something that we have worked so hard for the last two years,” head coach Steve Englehart said.

“Our players, coaches and staff are waiting with great anticipation for Sept. 7.”

No doubt Panther fans are waiting with the same anticipation as the three-year wait for an official college game has now been whittled down to just 14 weeks and two days.

PANTHERS OPEN THE SEASON

Florida Tech will play six games at Pirate Stadium over the course of the season. Five road contests will be intertwined in the 11-game schedule. 

The Panthers open the season at Pirate Stadium against Stetson, who will be playing its second game since 1956. The game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Two weeks later, after a road contest against Newberry on Sept. 14, FIT will host West Alabama to open its Gulf South Conference slate in a nationally televised game on CBS Sports Network. The game is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m.

Florida Tech will play six games at Pirate Stadium over the course of the season. Five road contests will be intertwined in the 11-game schedule.

11 GAME SCHEDULE

Season tickets are available for the Panthers’ inaugural 2013 season at $65 for adults, $40 for seniors ages 65 and above and children ages 5-16. As of April 14, season tickets are available only between the 30 and 40-yard lines on Florida Tech’s side of the stands at Pirate Stadium. All premium seating is reserved.

Panther Football will play its inaugural game at home on Saturday, September 7 at 7 p.m.
