According to Cocoa Police Public Information Officer Barbara Matthews, the suspect was described a young, tall black male in his early 20’s, between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-2.

The suspect may be connected to a 7-Eleven convenience store robbery that occurred earlier this week at the  at 947 Dixon Boulevard, but the connection has not been officially confirmed.

According to Matthews, the suspect asked the Motel 6 front desk clerk for an item from an area behind the office door. When the clerk opened the office door, the robber produced a handgun, demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount.
