MIAMI, FLORIDA — The National Hurricane Center in Miami released a bulletin about a tropical wave that has emerged off the Atlantic Coast of Africa.

According to the National Hurricane Center, the wave is located approximately 500 miles East-Southeast of the Cape Verde Islands, and environmental conditions are expected to be marginally conducive for some development of this disturbance over the next few days as it moves Westward at 10-15 mph.

Within the next 48 hours, the chances of the wave strengthening to a storm system are only 10%, but we will continue to monitor the wave as it crosses the Atlantic Ocean.
