Benefit Oktoberfest To Support Sled Hockey Program

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – A benefit for the Space Coast Hurricanes Sled Hockey program will be held Saturday, October 25 at Crispy’s Beer and Wine Bar in Rockledge.

The benefit is an Oktoberfest and Food Truck event, featuring a beer tasting that includes a wide variety of local and regional brews.
Tickets for the beer tasting are $20 each, three for $50 or four4 for $60, and are available at Crispy’s or from the Space Coast Hurricanes Sled Hockey program.
Sled hockey is an adaptive form of hockey for anyone with a disability that prevents them from skating. The Hurricanes’ players include disabled veterans, children and adults with spina bifida and cerebral palsy, single and double amputees, and many other disabilities.
The players play in sleds or sledges. The Hurricanes’ players are of all ages and skill levels, and includes beginners through Paralympic gold medal winners.
The team practices at the Space Coast Iceplex in Rockledge and plays in many locations across Florida and the US.
