County Commissioner Mary Bolin Lewis, county officials, Public Works Department personnel and Rockledge Mayor Thomas Price and other City of Rockledge City officials will be on hand.
The event is open to the public.
The widening of Barnes Boulevard, a 1.5-mile project from Fiske Boulevard to Cobblewood Drive (just east of Murrell Road) was officially started on Oct. 2, and is expected for completion in July 2018.
The contractor is J.R. Davis Construction. The road will be widened from two to four lanes with a grass median and one new traffic signal.
The project is designed to improve historical flood conditions along the corridor as well as provide better traffic conditions.
