FIT Tennis Teams Head to Tampa For Non-Conference Matches

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Following victories over Chestnut Hill a week ago, Florida Tech men’s and women’s tennis looks to keep the momentum rolling when each team plays a pair of out of conference matches on Tuesday in Tampa, Florida.

Both squads will start the day by taking on John Carroll at 9:30 a.m. ET before facing off against Walsh at 1:30 p.m.

The Panther men are currently 2-3 on the season, while their female counterparts are sitting at 3-5, including an 0-2 Sunshine State Conference record.

The JCU men are 0-4 on the season, while Walsh men’s team holds a mark of 6-7 after dropping its last six matches.

Walsh has one regionally ranked player in Pablo Cabezon, who is ranked No. 8.

The Blue Streak women, on the other hand, are off to a 4-0 start to the season, while the Warrior women’s squad is 8-12 on the year.Walsh is ranked No. 8 as a team in the Midwest Region, while Sofya Logunova and Daria Bondareva are individually ranked No. 10 and No. 18, respectively.
