BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Titusville Police Department is investigating a recent string of vehicle burglaries in the Hickory Hills neighborhood in Titusville.

Two surveillance videos show what appears to be three juveniles entering two unlocked vehicles and stealing items from them, according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

A third vehicle on the surveillance video reveals that the thieves do not enter because it is locked, according to Matthews.

Police are urging residents to always lock their vehicles, garages, sheds and houses.

A staggering 85% of burglaries are committed upon vehicles that are not locked.
