Fatal Crash On I-95 Just South of State Road 520 Closes Southbound Lanes

Traffic Is Being Rerouted At the State Road 520 Exit

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol is currently on scene working a fatal crash on I-95 southbound at mile marker 199 in Cocoa that happened at about 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involved multiple vehicles with several people being taken by air and ground to different hospitals.

One victim is confirmed dead at the scene.

The southbound lanes are currently shut down and traffic is being rerouted off at the State Road 520 exit.

“We do not know at this time how long the roadway will remain closed,” said Trooper Wanda D. Diaz.
