BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team struggled to find a rhythm in the second half, falling to Broward College 79-62 in a Southern Conference game at Titan Field House Saturday afternoon.

The Titans got off to a solid start, holding the Seahawks to 30 points in the first half and held the 7-30 advantage behind the trio of Trudy Walker, Caitlyn Smith, and Tayler Smith.

But Broward College came out in the third quarter on a 12-0 run to take the lead. From there, the Titans never got on track falling to 6-14 overall and 1-2 in the Southern Conference.

Tayler Smith led the way with 14 points in the game while Sherae Cherafant had eight.

Walker finished with seven points and 14 rebounds.

Eastern Florida State College will be back on the road Wednesday night, traveling to Indian River State College for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
