Florida Tech Panthers Swim Team Featured In The Final CSCAA/TYR Division II Poll

men ranked No. 14, women on cusp of top 25

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Just a couple of weeks before the start of the annual Sunshine State Conference Championships, it was announced Wednesday that Florida Tech men is ranked No. 14 in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America/TYR Division II Top 25 Swimming and Diving Poll.
The women’s team is on the cusp of entering the Top 25, receiving a pair of votes.
FIT is one of five Sunshine State Conference members appearing in the men’s poll, joining Nova Southeastern (3), Florida Southern (7), Tampa (11) and Saint Leo (17).
On the women’s side the SSC has four members appearing in the top 25.
Heading the list is Nova Southeastern (5) followed by Florida Southern (19), Tampa (20) and Saint Leo (22).
The Panther men have held their position at No. 14 since moving up one spot from their season opening rankings.
The SSC Championships kick off on Thursday, Feb. 16, and will continue through Sunday.
