BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor a strong disturbance off the west coast of Africa, another development is stirring in the Caribbean that could bring heavy rain to Florida.

The tropical wave is currently over the north-central Caribbean Sea and is carrying thunderstorms and heavy cloud cover.

While the system has very little chance of having any further increased development, the rainfall the storm is carrying is considered the only threat, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The system has no chance of development within the next 48 hours and only a 10-percent chance to increase development through five days.
