BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Former President of the Florida Senate Mike Haridopolos talks with Steve Wilson in the latest edition of “Sit Down with Steve.” Mike talks about his love of sports, his upbringing in New York and Arkansas, his writing and much more.
One of Florida’s best legislative and political minds, Haridopolos, 49, served as the president of the Florida Senate from 2010-2012 and in the Florida House of Representatives from 2000-2003.
In 2006, he was on the shortlist to run for Lieutenant Governor of Florida as the running mate of Republican nominee Charlie Crist.
In 2008, Haridopolos declined to run for the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s 15th congressional district in order to focus on his coming role as Senate President and his goal to make the Florida Senate more conservative.
He now operates MJH Consulting, a leading consulting firm in Florida.
At MJH, Haridopolos leads a team of talented professionals dedicated to assisting clients in a variety of business endeavors including the fields of agriculture, commercial aviation, education, alternative energy, engineering, gaming, health care, internet communications, motorsports, public safety, special needs, transportation and water conservation.
He and his wife, Dr. Stephanie Haridopolos, a family practice medical doctor, have three children- Alexis, Hayden and Reagan.
