BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Recently, agents from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit began receiving tips on the whereabouts of Acasia Fuscaldo, who was a contestant on the “Wheel of Fugitive®️” but not actually selected as the Fugitive of the Week.

While a few of the tips that agents received came after Fuscaldo had already left the area, last night Cocoa PD received a more current tip that placed Fuscaldo at a motel in the city of Cocoa.

Cocoa Police Officer Brian Delos Santos who was aware of the warrant on Fuscaldo because of his close partnership with our Fugitive Unit, subsequently took his K9 Partner “Kyra” to the hotel and searched the room number that had been provided in the tip.

The search was conducted after consent was granted by Fuscaldo’s husband and resulted in “Kyra” alerting on the bed where Fuscaldo was discovered hiding under the mattress.

Further investigation revealed that Fuscaldo had actually cut an opening in the box springs, just big enough for her to slip into which allowed her to be concealed by the mattress and sheets.

Fuscaldo immediately gave up and was taken into custody for her three felony Violation of Probation Warrants.

Fuscaldo was transported to the Brevard County Jail where she was given a new bed with no box springs to hide in and a No Bond Status!

So the moral of the story is simply this…if you are going to play hide and seek with the cops don’t do it with the one who has a K-9 partner.

Additionally, if you have a warrant for your arrest and you know you are on “Wheel of Fugitive®️,” go turn yourself in and stop playing games!! If you do the crime in Brevard County you are going to do the time, so stop hiding because with the help of our citizens, we are coming to lock you up!!

Another great job by our citizens, our partners at Cocoa PD, and our Fugitive Agents!
