BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The appeal of traveling to Florida for a getaway is mostly because of the great weather year-round. Who wouldn’t want to be able to wear shorts and sandals and other beach attire pretty much any day you want?

One of the other draws, especially to the Space Coast area, is that there are many waterfront views and other outdoor lounging areas perfect for reading a book, meeting up with friends, or viewing a beautiful sunset while dining.

With so many restaurants offering outdoor seating located throughout the Space Coast, sorting through them all can be daunting.

To help you decide, here is a sample list of 10 restaurants that provide outdoor seating for you:

Shiloh’s Steak & Seafood | Titusville
3665 S. Washington Avenue
(321) 567-3555

For a view of the Indian River Lagoon and a near-perfect viewing spot for rocket launches, Shiloh’s Steak & Seafood provides that and more.

Couple the amazing views with food that will make your taste buds soar like the rockets you may get to see, you’ll be glad you made the drive to the northern part of the Space Coast to dine here.

Orleans Bistro & Bar | Titusville
2204 S. Washington Avenue
(321) 567-7567

To kick your dining experience up a notch, head over to Orleans Bistro & Bar for a Cajun-inspired menu and other favorites where the outdoor patio space allows for some views of the Indian River Lagoon and rocket launches.

The French Quarteresque décor will make you feel like you are sitting in a proper New Orleans restaurant. And with live music on the weekends and great weekend brunch, you’ll be happy you chose Orleans Bistro & Bar.

The Cove | Cape Canaveral
Dave Nisbit Drive

The Cove is a one-stop spot for food and fun. With the Exploration Tower and Parker Brothers Concepts, your choice in restaurants include a direct view of out-going cruise ships, native wildlife, and fishing boats coming in with the big catch of the day.

No matter your dining preference, you’re guaranteed to get fresh seafood, if that’s on the menu for you, or if you prefer steak or something else, there really is something for every palate at The Cove.

From Rusty’s Raw Oyster Bar and Rising Tap & Table to Fishlips and Grills, enjoy the views and the food, any time of the day.

Longdoggers | Cocoa Beach
350 W. Cocoa Beach Causeway

When you’ve had a day at the beach and you’re ready to chow down on some local food, consider heading over to Longdoggers Cocoa Beach. With a covered patio, you can take a break from the sun, but the relaxed, come-as-you-are atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for anyone coming off the beach.

Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier | Cocoa Beach
401 Meade Avenue
(321) 783-7549

Another spot that gives you food and fun in one location is the Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier. There are multiple restaurants here that provide stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, the surfers that ride the famous waves of Cocoa Beach, and beautiful Space Coast sunsets.

For unobstructed views, head to the end of the pier to Rikki Tiki Tavern where the ultimate outdoor seating stretches out 800 feet over the Atlantic Ocean. Sip on your drink of choice and a bite to eat from the menu and relax as you breathe in the ocean breeze.

Coconuts on the Beach | Cocoa Beach
2 Minuteman Causeway

For more “come-as-you-are” spots with a view, Coconuts on the Beach is literally on the beach and offers outdoor seating. Take a break from the sand and sun, grab some grub and a nice cold drink, while listening to live music and take in those beach views.

This is one of a few restaurants in Cocoa Beach with oceanfront seating, so you’ll want to add this to your plans if you don’t want to leave the beach.

2250 Town Center Avenue
(321) 633-0397

Whether your trip to the Space Coast is for a vacation or maybe you are in town for a USSSA event, Pizza Gallery & Grill offers outdoor seating, live music and a selection of Italian foods to choose from. Sand on the Beach | Melbourne Beach
1005 Atlantic Street
(321) 327-8951

The Space Coast offers 72-miles of coastline that is mostly accessible anywhere you end up landing.

When you want a more serene and peaceful environment, a place where you can have great conversation over good food or a place you can stay awhile with the company of your favorite book (especially if you are an early riser and want to eat and read before the crowds arrive), you’ll want to head south to Melbourne Beach, specifically to Sand on the Beach.

You’ll be delighted by this one-of-a-kind experience as you indulge in something off of the menu as the picturesque ocean views soothe you.

Squid Lips | Melbourne
1477 Pineapple Avenue
(321) 259-3101

Overlooking the south side of the Indian River Lagoon, Squid Lips is a hot spot for live music, good food, and good fun. Show up with your crew and experience a laid-back and unique “beachfront” environment along the river that includes, you guessed it, sand and colorful beach chairs and picnic benches.

If you’re out on a boat, you can easily motor up and dock at the on-site pier and get your “beach” on without having to drag all the gear with you.

Not planning on being near Melbourne? Squid Lips also has a location in Cocoa Beach for a true outdoor beach experience.
