BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The appeal of traveling to Florida for a getaway is mostly because of the great weather year-round. Who wouldn’t want to be able to wear shorts and sandals and other beach attire pretty much any day you want?
One of the other draws, especially to the Space Coast area, is that there are many waterfront views and other outdoor lounging areas perfect for reading a book, meeting up with friends, or viewing a beautiful sunset while dining.
With so many restaurants offering outdoor seating located throughout the Space Coast, sorting through them all can be daunting.
To help you decide, here is a sample list of 10 restaurants that provide outdoor seating for you:

For more “come-as-you-are” spots with a view, Coconuts on the Beach is literally on the beach and offers outdoor seating. Take a break from the sand and sun, grab some grub and a nice cold drink, while listening to live music and take in those beach views.
This is one of a few restaurants in Cocoa Beach with oceanfront seating, so you’ll want to add this to your plans if you don’t want to leave the beach.

Whether your trip to the Space Coast is for a vacation or maybe you are in town for a USSSA event, Pizza Gallery & Grill offers outdoor seating, live music and a selection of Italian foods to choose from. The Space Coast offers 72-miles of coastline that is mostly accessible anywhere you end up landing.
When you want a more serene and peaceful environment, a place where you can have great conversation over good food or a place you can stay awhile with the company of your favorite book (especially if you are an early riser and want to eat and read before the crowds arrive), you’ll want to head south to Melbourne Beach, specifically to Sand on the Beach.
You’ll be delighted by this one-of-a-kind experience as you indulge in something off of the menu as the picturesque ocean views soothe you.
Squid Lips | Melbourne

Overlooking the south side of the Indian River Lagoon, Squid Lips is a hot spot for live music, good food, and good fun. Show up with your crew and experience a laid-back and unique “beachfront” environment along the river that includes, you guessed it, sand and colorful beach chairs and picnic benches.
If you’re out on a boat, you can easily motor up and dock at the on-site pier and get your “beach” on without having to drag all the gear with you.
Not planning on being near Melbourne? Squid Lips also has a location in Cocoa Beach for a true outdoor beach experience.
The Mansion | Melbourne

When you’ve spent the day walking historic downtown areas like the one in Melbourne, finding a spot that carries a bit of history itself can help round out a beautiful day outside.
The Mansion has two locations for outdoor dining. The upstairs is an open-air spot with umbrellas available and downstairs provides a covered area with a very down-to-earth and quaint vibe.
Besides the outdoor views, the menu offers Florida-inspired, made-from-scratch food and beverages.
