BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Orlando Melbourne International Airport has once again been nominated for a spot on Private Fly’s Top 10 Most Scenic Airport Landings for 2020.

In 2019, the airport’s approach was voted as the most beautiful airport approach in the USA and moved up to sixth in the world by Private Fly magazine.
Aircraft to and from MLB fly over Florida’s gulf stream, tropical barrier islands and the Indian River Lagoon – all which teem with wildlife and native fauna for which the region is famous.
“Private pilots rave about the view, and commercial passengers lean toward the window with their phone cameras,” said Rob Himler, Airport Communications Coordinator who himself learned to fly on Runway 5-23 as a student at Florida Institute of Technology.

“MLB offers an awe-inspiring welcome before you even land, with a warm, coastal headwind accompanied by an endless view of our breathtaking beaches,” said Greg Donovan, AAE, executive director of Orlando Melbourne International Airport.
“Depending on where you’re inbound from, you’ll catch sight of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and rocket launch pads, or a Disney ship departing Port Canaveral on its way to the Caribbean.”
