Melbourne Police Conduct Detail Focused on Prostitution, Arrest Three Men For Solicitation of Prostitution

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – On Friday, August 21 between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit conducted a detail-focused on prostitution activity in the area of U.S. Highway 1 between Aurora Road and University Boulevard.

According to Commander Marc Claycomb of the Melbourne Police Department, this nine-hour operation centered on the subjects who solicit prostitution by utilizing a decoy female detective.

Commander Claycomb said during this operation Melbourne police detectives arrested three men who were charged with solicitation for prostitution.

Additionally, one female was also arrested for prostitution and violation of probation.
