BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Brevard Zoo’s Bears Brody and Cheyenne have been sharing space a few times a week, and they’ve both discovered a passion for wrestling.

These play sessions take place behind the scenes, where keepers can more easily separate the bears if things get too rowdy for Brody.

Black bear cub Brody was brought to the Brevard Zoo by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in February of 2020. Brody was found alone on a dirt road in the Ocala National Forest.

Cheyenne was brought to the Brevard Zoo by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Before Cheyenne was brought to the Brevard Zoo, she was living in the Tallahassee area.
