BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy’s Lloyd and Max Robinson are set to play in Soccer’s Elite MLS-Next League in Minnesota.

For the past five years, Lloyd and his brother Max attended and played soccer for Holy Trinity in Melbourne.

Lloyd played JV soccer as a seventh grader and JV/Varsity soccer as an eighth grader and was awarded the MVP award for JV this past season as an 8th grader.

Max, his younger brother, had his debut JV game against Eau Gallie high school as a 6th grader this past season scoring his first JV goal on an assist from his brother Lloyd in his first ten minutes of play.

Not to be outdone by his little brother, Lloyd curved a corner kick to score with his left towards the end of the game giving Holy Trinity the 2-0 win.

They’ve been both playing soccer since they were 3 years old mainly coached by their father Chris Robinson and chauffeured by their mother Maggie for the past 10 years in local competitive clubs.

After years of training and competing, the boys have made a name for themselves in local soccer circles. Lloyd also competes in the Olympic Development Soccer program and plays for the ODP state team in Florida.

A couple of weeks ago Lloyd competed in the regional ODP tryouts in Tennessee and expanded his visibility in the soccer world.

After returning home from Tennessee, he was contacted by Shattuck St Mary’s School, a co-educational college Prep boarding school in Minnesota that plays in the MLS-Next soccer league. The coaches at SSM were so impressed by Lloyd’s attacking ability and speed on the ball in Tennessee that they offered him a position without having an official tryout.

Max attended a two-day camp in Minnesota with Lloyd as he visited the campus of his future MLS-Next team. After seeing Max play for one session the coaches also offered Max a spot on their U14 team.

With aspirations to play division 1 college soccer and move on to play professionally, the boys are beyond thrilled with the opportunity to play at the highest level of youth soccer in the U.S. Lloyd and Max recognize this opportunity is a direct reflection of years of hard work, training, sacrifices, passion, and dedication.

They’ve attended soccer camps in multiple states and overseas over their years of playing.

They give their current Holy Trinity soccer coach Adrian Moreno high praise for the persistent training they’ve received over the past few years and the opportunity to play against much older players.

Additionally, very high marks for their track/cross country coach Bailey for motivating them to train throughout the summer at 6:30 am to work on their endurance and speed.

The boys look forward to receiving a great education at the A+ rated boarding school in Minnesota and are beyond thrilled to continue their journey to playing professional soccer at an elite Soccer Center of Excellence program.
