Authorities Identify Man Shot Dead at Residence on Palmetto Street in Titusville

Titusville Police released the identity of the man shot dead early Monday morning at a residence on Palmetto Street.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police released the identity of the man shot dead early Monday morning at a residence on Palmetto Street.

According to officials, officers responded to a report of a shooting at a residence located on the 600 block of Palmetto Street on April 24 at approximately 3:30 a.m.

“The preliminary investigation revealed the victim, Carl F. Wigfall, 56, of Titusville, was found by responding officers in the home with an apparent gunshot wound(s),” said Titusville Police Officer Amy Matthews.

Wigfall was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The case is being treated as a homicide investigation.

The suspect(s) are still at large and believed to have known the victim.

Police say they are working all leads and are encouraging anyone with information to contact the Titusville Police Department at 321-264-7800. Anyone with information on this case can also remain anonymous and eligible for a reward up to $5000 by contacting Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
