Brevard Public Schools Students Celebrate Sunshine State Young Readers Award During Library SLAM Event

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools students in grades 3-8 celebrated the 2022-2023 Sunshine State Young Readers Award titles during the Student Literacy and Media Showcase events.
Some schools took their students to neighbor and feeder host schools while some hosted the exciting event at their home school.
Students participated in book discussions, worked on design challenges, performed reader’s theater, and played trivia, matching games, and Hedbanz.
The SSYRA program is a statewide reading motivational program for students in grades 3-8 that encourages students to read independently for pleasure.
