Former Eastern Florida State Soccer Player Bunny Shaw Named Women’s Super League Player of Year

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Former Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer player Bunny Shaw has been named the FWA Women’s Footballer of the Year and Women’s Super League Player of the Year in May.

Shaw, who was also awarded the Golden Boot as the top goal scorer in the WSL, scored 21 goals before a season-ending foot injury. The striker played in 18 matches this season. It is the second straight year she has scored 20 goals or more for Manchester City.

The former Titans and University of Tennessee player was one goal shy of tying the WSL record for goals in a season. It became Manchester City’s all-time goal scorer with her 67th goal and now has 72 in her career with Manchester City.

She also made history with eight hat tricks in her career, three of them coming this season which is also a program best. He was named the Man City Player of the Season on Thursday.

Shaw played two seasons with the Titans, playing in 2015-16 and 2016-17, and scored 24 goals in 21 career games and was named the NJCAA Division I first-team All-American as well as the NSCAA Junior College Division I All-American and helped the Titans reach the finals of the National Championship Tournament in 2016
