Brevard Public School Athletes Win 57 State Medals at 2024 FHSAA Track & Field Championships

6 athletes earn individual State title

The Florida High School Athletic Association held their State Track & Field Championships at the University of North Florida. Brevard Public Schools had a tremendous showing at the State Meet with 10 out of 16 BPS high schools having State medalists. Brevard Public Schools won 57 State medals combined including 6 individual State Champions. (BPS image)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida High School Athletic Association held their State Track & Field Championships at the University of North Florida.

Brevard Public Schools had a tremendous showing at the State Meet with 10 out of 16 BPS high schools having State medalists.

Brevard Public Schools won 57 State medals combined including 6 individual State Champions.

■ Elijah Peters: 8th – Boys Triple Jump

Bayside High School

■ Jordana Nunez: CHAMPION – Girls 800m

■ Nickiah Wilkinson: CHAMPION – Boys High Jump

Cocoa High School

■ Trinity Parham: 6th – Girls 100m

■ Alayezia Williams: 3rd – Girls 100m Hurdles

■ Tavon Simmons-Roberts: CHAMPION – Boys 110m Hurdles

■ Logan Bass: 3rd – Boys 400m Hurdles

■ Meriah Parks: 6th – Girls Shot Put

■ Alayezia Williams, Trinity Parham, Jayla Edgecombe, I’yana Barnes: 5th – Girls 4 x 100m Relay

Edgewood Jr/Sr High School

■ Veronique Gividen: 8th – Girls 800m

Heritage High School

■ Liora Best: 7th – Girls 400m

■ Deaven McDonald: 3rd – Boys Discus

Melbourne High School

■ Zechariah Dennis: 5th – Boys 800m (Ambulatory)

Viera High School

■ Addison Elwell: 5th – Girls 1600m, 4th – Girls 3200m

■ Chase Cromartie, Bobby Meyer, Jayden McPherson, Garrett Vickery: 2nd – Boys 4 X 100m Relay
