POLICE: Two Students Injured in Stabbing Incident at Palm Bay High School Monday Afternoon

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools and Melbourne police officials said two students was injured at Palm Bay High School after a confrontation between two male students at about 1 p.m. on Monday. The school went into lockdown after the incident.

“Police activity is at Palm Bay High School, so please avoid Babcock and Pirate Lane,” said a Melbourne police spokesperson on social media. “It appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no immediate threat to the public.”

“At around 1 p.m., two Palm Bay High students were involved in an altercation,” said a Melbourne police spokesperson.

“During the incident, one student received a stab wound to the abdomen, and the other had a cut on the hand. Both involved parties have been identified and transported to separate hospitals and are in stable condition.”

The MPD spokesperson said the incident is isolated and there is no threat to the community at large.

Accroding to Brevard Public Schools, the threat was over by 2:23 p.m. and classes will be dismissed as usual.
