Burglary Suspects Busted After Officers Discover Them Inside Melbourne Business: ten adults and one juvenile arrested

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Multiple suspects were recently arrested in connection with a series of burglaries at a repeatedly targeted commercial property in Melbourne after officers with the Melbourne Police Department conducted proactive patrols at the location over several days in February.
According to police, MPD Officer Clements was on patrol at the business on Feb. 20, which had previously experienced several break-ins, when he noticed new damage to a protective window covering installed after earlier burglaries.
While checking the building, Officer Clements discovered three individuals inside the property actively committing a burglary, police said. The suspects complied with commands and were taken into custody without incident.
Those arrested included two adults and a 17-year-old juvenile. Investigators said one of the adults was armed with a large kitchen knife at the time of the arrest.
The following day, Feb. 21, Officer Proctor encountered another suspect exiting the same building. Police said the individual was dressed in black clothing and carrying aluminum wire and electrical tools.

Investigators determined the suspect had unlawfully entered the property to remove electrical wiring, which authorities say was intended for sale at recycling facilities.
The suspect was arrested and charged with Burglary, Theft, Possession of burglary tools, and Possession of methamphetamine.
Police officials said the methamphetamine was discovered during a search incident to arrest.
Authorities returned to the property again on Feb. 26 when Officer Clements encountered six individuals loitering outside the building. Officers observed fresh exterior damage, prompting further investigation.
Police determined that six suspects were inside the building burglarizing the business while a seventh individual acted as a lookout, according to investigators.
All seven suspects were arrested and face various burglary-related charges. Police said one of the suspects was armed with a firearm during the incident.
Officials credited the efforts of Officer Clements, Officer Proctor, and members of the department’s Nightwatch Bravo Squad for their proactive patrols and vigilance.
The Melbourne Police Department said the enforcement actions helped disrupt ongoing criminal activity targeting the business and protect local property owners.
