WATCH: One of the largest military enlistment ceremonies in Central Florida took place Friday evening as Brevard Public Schools hosted the 2026 Military Enlistment Ceremony of the Space Coast at Viera High School Stadium.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Yesterday evening, I had the privilege to join a number of other Brevard County elected officials and School Superintendent Mark Rendell on stage at Viera High School for the 2026 Space Coast Enlistment Ceremony.
This incredible ceremony honors over 200 students who have each committed to the various branches of our United States Military to serve our great country.
The ceremony not only included the presentation of colors by the Central Florida Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, a motorcycle ride in by “Rolling Thunder,” and a Huey flyover by our very own BCSO Aviation Unit, but also a very inspirational administering of the “Oath of Enlistment” by the Commander of Space Launch Delta 45.
The ceremony was attended by family members, friends, teachers, and community members who all watched with pride as each young man and woman were called to the stage and honored for the commitment they are preparing to embark on with their respective branches of service.
Please join me in not only congratulating them on this journey they are about to begin but also in praying for their safety and guidance throughout their career.
