Special Weather Statement Issued for Cocoa Beach, Palm Shores and Eau Gallie Until 4:30 P.M.
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Special Weather Statement for portions of Brevard County until 4:30 p.m. EDT Tuesday.
The alert includes Cocoa Beach, Palm Shores, Eau Gallie, Pineda and surrounding communities along the central Brevard coast.
Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are possible as strong storms move through the area. No hail is expected, according to the National Weather Service.
Residents should seek shelter inside a sturdy structure and remain away from windows until the storm passes.
Motorists should also be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions and reduced visibility on area roadways.
