Eastern Florida State College Women’s Basketball Team Beats Santa Fe in Conference Game for 12th Win

Titans won their fourth straight game
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team defeated Santa Fe College in a Citrus Conference game Wednesday evening.
The No. 23 ranked Titans won their fourth straight game, using a big second quarter to beat the Saints 85-56. Eastern Florida State College heads into the Christmas break 12-2 overall and 5-1 in the conference.
Down one point after the first quarter, the Titans outscored Santa Fe 35-15 in the second quarter as the Titans went on an 11-0 run early in the quarter. E’Zaria Adams scored eight of a team-high 18 points in the quarter. Leading by 21 to start the fourth quarter, the Titans again ran off an 11-0 run to lead by 30.
Seven players scored at least eight points in the game for the Titans. Adams had seven assists to go with her 18 points. Jazelle Young had 13 points, five rebounds, and six blocks, Karen Nimo had 12 points and six rebounds, while teammate Jalei O’Neal also had 12 points to go with four rebounds and three steals.
Amanda Baumgarte also finished with 12 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Tamara Elliot scored nine, and Ashleigh Battle scored eight in the win.
After the Christmas break, the Titans will travel to Georgia to compete in the Lady Jets Holiday Classic at South Georgia Tech.
Eastern Florida State College will host South Georgia Tech, No. 9, Shelton State Community College, and Northeast Mississippi Community College from December 29-31.
