ABOUT THE TEAMS

Space Coast Vipers – At 1-8, the Vipers are not off to the season they would love to have, but they have lost a few close ones, and tournament play allows them to play some different teams and pick up wins. Caden Graybill and Landen Bass are the players to watch for the Vipers.

Port St. Lucie Jaguars – Port St. Lucie’s season has been a story of narrow defeats. A 4-7 record is below .500; however, the Jaguars have lost six of those seven by six points or less. Competitive in every match, but one is very telling for the team. The Jaguars are led by Daniel Alexis and Bryan Desgrottes, who both score in double figures.

Titusville Terriers – The Terriers have played fewer games than some other teams, but they still post a nice 4-2 record through six games. Having not played in two weeks, the Terriers are ready to take the floor. Titusville football star Elijah “Tank” Harvey is also a star on the basketball court, averaging just under 19 points per game, with 5 rebounds and 5 steals per night.

Westwood Panthers – Westwood has looked solid through their first ten matches at 7-3. Their three defeats have not been close games, but against formidable opponents. The Panthers’ scoring threats come from two Juniors, Alex Jean and Edwin Gibson, both of whom average over 11 points a game.

Eau Gallie Commodores – Eau Gallie, sitting at 4-6 with three losses coming by five points or less, have been competitive through the first ten games of the season. The Commodores have a chance to compete with in and out-of-county foes the next couple days. Isaiah Cuff is the leading scorer for Eau Gallie, but multiple players are threats to score.

Martin County Tigers – Martin County comes in on a five-game win streak and winners in eight of their last nine. Playing their best ball at the right time, the Tigers are looking to capitalize on that momentum in this tournament. Seniors Brandon Brazell and Kerry Parks are the “go-to” guys for the Tigers, but they have a deep roster.

Gateway Panthers – Gateway has faced a tough schedule, resulting in a 2-9 record. They will be looking to change their fortune this week in Rockledge, especially starting the tournament with Rockledge. Maxwell Garcon Jr. and Landon Curry are the two leading scorers for the Panthers, and they have to be huge if they want to pull off some upsets in this tournament.

Rockledge Raiders – Rockledge sits at 6-6 currently and is looking to defend its home turf this week for the tournament. The Raiders have won their last two and will try to turn that into a win streak over the next couple of days. Brady Kearns and Conlan Oakley score it at 14 points apiece and are both big in the rebound category.
